C+Plus is an Italian brand realized by a company called F.G. 1936, whose name stands for Giuseppa Fioravanti, wife of Alberto Caucci and mother of the current owners. The story of this company began in the 30’s with Filippo Caucci, who founded an atelier in the Province of Teramo by creating tailored garments. In the postwar period, the son Alberto and the daughter-in-law Giuseppa started up a business activity specialised in the sale of textiles.
The acquired skilss allowed the opening of a micro-laboratory for the creation of pants in the ‘60s and the 70’s boom confirmed the market positioning of the company as a point of reference in Val Vibrata manufacturing district. The Caucci’s manufacturing company progressively specialised itself in the development and industrialisation of self-made models. At the beginning of year 2000 the Caucci’s, in order to segment the demand and change their supply, founded the F.G. 1936 Company, that manufactures tailorised jeans and pants which are distributed in a selected wholesale channel.
C+PLUS is upstream by definition and it is addressed to a different and non-conformist public always researching and experimenting new trends.
Its products are entirely Made in Italy in Val Vibrata. The desire of outdoing from a stylish and qualitative point of view, collection after collection, guarantees worldwide a perfect wearability of all the items. Eeach model is the result of the Italian tradition and research, tailored in every single detail and cut by master craftsmen to adapt to the shape of every body.
Modelling a complex manufacturing process takes more than 90 minutes per item. The trousers are made with traditional italian tailoring techniques. Among many details to make unique items, there are: open stitches that allow to make changes on pants based on one’s needs and preferences; belt loops to outline clean-cut lines; pocket linings made with shirt fabrics for a better comfort; contrast stitching on buttonholes to enhance the tailoring details; saddle points to recall the craftmanship.
Each pant is unique and different from others. The sophisticated finishing phase takes about 120 minutes of work per item and the most used techniques are: resin finishing treatments to polish cotton; hand sanding finishing to soften the denim; stone washing to lighten up the fabric; 3-d textile treatments to whip up the fabric; scratching phase to change the indigo; smearing to even out the colour; sanding to obtain a peach effect fabric; grinding, mending to finish the product in a vintage style.
