The beauty of Robert Redford, the last star from the 60’ and the eternal heartbreaker, will last over the years and more.

Not a rebel beauty like Steve McQueen or Marlon Brando. On the contrary, he embraces the values’ and the esthetic’ stereotypes of the American boy from the 60s and 70s. The guy devoted to his university career, but also the one who’s playing sports with a preppy-collage look.

Robert Redford with his classy charm, polished yet essential look, has become an unique style icon. A muse to look at  to be inspired.

The blonde-head star has a basic and simple style. Jeans, white shirt, aviator sunglasses and tweed blazer were his must-to-wear off set. Naturally timeless, these clothes still remain today Redford’s first choice, paired with a coat or a duvet jacket because of the low temperature in Utah, his home state.

All the screen roles Redford played on the big screen have left great style lessons. All bold but still polished and wearable looks.

Unforgettable his look in the screen role of Jay Gatsby, designed ad hoc for him by the king of preppy style Ralph Lauren.

No one but Redford could have made more iconic, simple look as those worn by the protagonist of “Three Days of The Condor”. He became the style ambassador of an understated but very striking elegance from which man, of all ages, get inspiration from.

Last but not least, his extraordinary outfit in “Out of Africa” starred alongside a beautiful Maryl Streep.

This movie and, in particular, the jacket worn by Redford, inspired the new Leather jacket collection by Atacama that you can find in the e-shop section of the website.
